Today was a decent day, I treated my team to pizza for doing a good job over the week and after work I went to hang out at Mickey's Hangover with Meghan and her General Mills friends (I adore her friend "J-Ro", she's a cutie). My friends Brian, Britt, Tim, Pat, and Mike from San Diego were there too and it was just a real treat to hang out with everyone at the same time at a cool bar.

We all piled into my little car and went to Rula Bula down on Mill. Yeah, 6 guys in my little car. I think I want a smaller car next time. I have been eyeing the Acura CL because it looks different is good on gas and is 2 doors (read: no more groups of 6 people in my car)... But I'm also thinking about a Nissan Maxima SE. Something that is quick, stick shift, four doors, room for friends (just not 6 at a time).

Woke up this morning and boy oh boy does a pillow feel different when you don't have any hair. It's a really really interesting feeling. I put my hands on my head and I couldn't figure out which feeling was cooler. The feeling of my bare scalp with my hand or the feeling of my hand with my bare scalp. Hahah!!

I went out today and the sun was just sooooooooo shiny on my scalp. We (the family) went to Tucson to see my brother's new dorm for the coming school year. He's going to be a Sophomore. You can see his website here. It looks VERY similar to mine because I didn't feel like designing another template for his when I gave that to him for his birthday (March 30, just in case you want to get him something).

So, came back home, went to another business fraternity meeting and then we went to dinner at RA on Mill for some late night sushi.

Ok, it's late. I have work tomorrow in 5.5 hours.

Hehehe... So today was a cool day. I went to a 5 hour meeting with the business fraternity that I advise (Alpha Kappa Psi). It was good to see everyone after the summer and to catch up with what they did. After that, I went to have dinner with a new friend of mine, her name is Laura. She's the ONLY doctor in the town of Gila Bend!!! (a neat little factoid). We had dinner at Kona Grill at Fashion Square and it was nice. For some reason I always get the Oriental Chicken Salad and some sushi rolls. I guess it's a health thing.

So... after that, I went to see my friend Tim. He's house sitting this mansion in Scottsdale and I was sitting there in the house and I wondered aloud about what it would be like to shave my head. My friend Tim got really excited and said that we didn't have anything else to do so we went out to track down a barber.

We found one.

I sat down.

She shaved my head and then told me that I looked "mean" and "macho". I didn't think so - but she asked me what I did for a living and I replied "I work for an internet company"

Hahah- yeah- that's a REAL macho job!

So, after that, we went back to the mansion and then sat for a while watching CNN and then I went home and fell asleep.

This past week was a good week. I had a new guy join my team this week (i think it was this week) and he has contributed a HELLUVA lot to my team. Thus far, my team at GoDaddy has saved quite a bit of money from going out of the back doors so it's a good department.

Today I went to see my friends over at Showcase Honda. Showcase is the car dealership I use to work at and apparently right now is a great time to buy a new accord. I was/am kind of considering it. A nice two door accord special edition... that would be a good vehicle.

Oh yeah, one BAD thing did happen today. It just goes to show that as you embrace technology, you have to adjust your life to fit it.

Yeah, I know you're saying "no shit clifford" but hey, this could have happened to anyone!

As mentioned before in earlier posts, I uninstalled my car stereo to simplify my life and in place of that I used a portable mp3 player. The mp3 player was about the size of a dental floss box and I took it out of the car one day to download new tunes from my laptop. The next place I found it was... in the clothes washer.

Clothes Washer: 1 point
MP3 Player: 0 points

So yeah, it's broken. Time to put back the old car stereo and go back to the whole playstation gig.

Today was a CRAZY DAY!! I went to have dim sum with my family and while I was sitting there at the restaurant, I felt this really light tickling feeling on the back of my calf. I look down and I see this COCKROACH crawling up my leg and onto the leg of the chair I was sitting on. I jumped up and looked in disbelief at this cockroach on my chair and all the other guests at the restaurant were looking on in absolute horror!!!

I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!!

So anyway, I mentioned something to one of the waiters and he didn't do a daaaaaaaaaamn thing... I couldn't believe it. So we left and thought we would all go check out the new Infiniti G35 just because we all like cars.

We got there and boy was I not impressed. It didn't seem that fast while we were sitting in it but statistically the car supposedly does 0-60 in 6.1 seconds. The ride was kinda bumpy too and I was kinda turned off of the whole car because it just didn't seem that great at all.

So that was it for today, as far as this past week was concerned, it has been pretty cool.

-I received a shirt from Bob Parsons for doing a good job at work.

-I saw the movie "Meet Joe Black" where in the movie, Brad Pitt meets a really cute gal in a cafe who happens to be a doctor... Well, the very next day I went to Eba Cafe with my friend Ed and while I was there I met a pretty cute gal who happens to be a doctor!! Her name is Laura and we traded numbers and promised that we would hang out again sometime.

-I hung out with good friends left and right. Jen had a going away party for her move to San Diego. She and Mike will have an awesome time there I'm sure. San Diego is a great place. I also went to a graduation party for Jason, we played volleyball, drank, played "Rice Ball". It's a game created by Brian Riley and Andrew Price where you hit your friends with a nerf football. (Yeah, and these guys graduated from college... )

-I am kinda looking for a laptop. Something that has:

-the little eraser head on the keyboard
-1ghz or faster
-a brand that I trust (dell/ibm/toshiba/sony)

This past weekend has been full of experiences. Saturday I rode on the back of my cousin's new 1800cc Honda motorcycle and I can't even tell you how cool it was. Going from a smooth 30mph to a whopping 85mph took just a couple of seconds!

It was REALLY an awesome ride and it has kind of made me want to get a motorcycle.

*sigh*

Add that to the 'want list'. :) Thus far, I have come across a few things that I really want. I saw a 1998 Land Rover Discovery in Ohio a few weeks back with 56,000 miles that was going for a mere 13,000 dollars. I also have come across a couple of nice laptops from Sony and Toshiba that are about the size of a mouse pad yet still have about 800mhz of processing power. The Sony has a digital camera built in (the 'picturebook' model) and the Toshiba has built in wireless network card (the libretto L5). The only problem is that they both operate on the Transmeta Crusoe processing chip. I've heard that this chip is not really as fast as the genuine Intel Pentium chips so I most likely will not purchase either one. But... I'm still looking for a cool laptop that is faster than my little ibm 600e (p2 366mhz w/ 288mb ram).

Anyway, looking at the list of things that I have picked up in the past few weeks...

I got a new cell phone. It's a Sanyo 5150. For a picture of it, click here. I picked up this phone and it's supposed to be able to transfer files back and forth from the computer. Images to use as caller ID and different ringers that you can program into the phone and such. It's all quite neat, however it all relies on the data cable that has been on backorder with Sprint PCS for the past few months.

For those of you who are interested, I did some research and you can pick up the data cable on eBay and then download the 3.3mb software from here.

Anyway, time for sleep, I'll write more later.
