24 hour recap:
- With Michelle's help, I swapped out the water heater in my house. Although the water heater was a little heavy (approx 85 lbs) and pretty big, it amazingly fit in Michelle's Toyota Rav4.
- I was able to get my SnapStream Beyond TV working on my home computer/tv with the ability to record scheduled shows. I don't know how many people realize this but when you record TV in mpeg-2 on your computer, you need like 3GB for every HOUR of recording time. That HD space goes quick! So instead of recording to my tiny 40GB HD with only 20GB left I connected my 160GB external drive so now I have a whopping 28 hours of recording time compared to my previous 6 hours.
Woot!

In the past couple of months I've noticed that I have some odd interest in polishing things and cleaning this and that around the house. I haven't made my way up to cleaning the house yet - so far, just things around the house.
I was polishing my headlights on my car a while ago and thought I could duplicate the same results of clarity in the plastic with my glasses. Bad call. There were a few layers of stuff on my glasses lenses like the UV protectant film and the self tinting layer of plastic that had to come off. Long story even longer, it was ugly and unsuccessful.
But there's something else that I found that I'm interested in trying out. I found a cool solution to cleaning leather and getting the layer of dirt that gets embedded into the leather creases out.
Check this page out.
So now Lemon Soft Scrub with Grease Cutter is on the top of my to buy list.
Wooo!

I just remembered this photo I took in Seattle when I visited the first Starbucks in the world.

Here's a better image that I found online:

Our trip to Seattle...
DAY ONE
We started on Thursday morning with a trip over to Carl's Jr. where Michelle and I feasted on Sourdough sausage sammiches for breakfast and her Dad took us to the airport at 10:30ish... We took off at 11:30 and arrived at 1:00.
Wooooo!
After we picked up our rental (a nice big green Jeep Cherokee) we ventured off to eat some genuine Malaysian food. Man oh man was it tasty and distinctly different than food in Phoenix. We also passed by the fastest pho house in the west. It's been reported (by Michelle) that the can serve you a nice hot bowl of pho within several minutes of you ordering!
But that's not the grooviest thing that happened on Thursday... Since Michelle's cousins work for Amazon, I was able to go on a tour of one of their buildings which used to be a mental hospital. Haha! Sooooo cool.
That night we went to the Than Brothers for pho with Michelle's cousins, Jenny and Annie, and Michelle's friends Rich and Danny. The Than Brothers is rated as one of the best places for pho in the area. I love pho a lot. In fact, I googled pho places in Seattle before flying out. So anyway, the soup was very rich in flavor and was served in a snappy 5 minutes. Definitely yummy.
After pho we went to a dueling piano bar which was a lot of fun and then went to a karaoke place where you go into this little room that is decked out like a studio with a dining table in the middle. We all sang and ate a little more until 2am. Woooo!
DAY TWO
Michelle and I went to a pancake house for breakfast. The weather in the morning was pleasantly sunny with overcast clouds. We then went to Snoqualmie falls, took a few photos (I'll post photos later), and continued to Snoqualmie ski resort where I saw a real snowfall for the first time (again, I'll post photos later).
That nigt we just stayed in and played cards and watched movies.
DAY THREE
Michelle and I woke up and went to Pike Place Market / Pioneer Square / What the Pho / and celebrated Jenny's birthday with an erotic birthday cake with a bunch of friends. Photos to come later.
DAY FOUR
We visited Brian and Diana over at thr Troll under the Aurora bridge (pictures to come later). We stopped by a quiche shop and then a pho shop to eat before going to the Tiffany Glass exhibition at the Seattle Art Gallery.
For dinner- we had Indian food. Red dot.

So this weekend Michelle and I were listing off things I had to do this weekend.
1) Pull the dead trees from my front yard.
2) Wash the cars.
3) Check out the Tramonto house.
4) Finish off a web site for an auto shop that helped me with my car.
Here are photos from the first item. Zach was helping me pull the dead trees out and what else do you do with dead trees when you pull them out?

You burn them!!

Before:

Here are some photos of the car now with the new front lip.

Sweet huh?
