Oh well?!
Dude, you ordered 540 cans of tennis balls, they cancelled your order outright and you say "oh well"??!!!!
If that isn't a good reason to fire off an angry e-mail I don't know what is!
Let me know if you want to teach me how to play tennis...
Rick

It could even be something that I wouldn't use - like bath salts.
Well- bad habits die hard and it happened again today but with something that's more useful than bath salts.
Tennis balls!! Woooooooooooo!!!!
I checked out this web site called slickdeals.net and found a great deal on tennis balls.
How great of a deal? Oh - 4 cents a can.
And a can has 3 balls.
So how many did I buy you ask?
Five hundred and forty cans. Hmm... Isn't it funny how we spell 40? "forty" - but we leave out the "U".
Oh well - so yeah, here's a snapshot of my order history.

I just told Michelle and she, like you, was wondering why there were three separate orders...
Here's my explanation:
Michelle says: haha. why the three separate orders?
clifford says: I thought i'd just buy 10.
clifford says: then i thought - oh- we could use more than that.
clifford says: so i bought 30
clifford says: and then i thought- hmm- these are really cheap.
clifford says: ok- 500.
Here's the smoking deal:

Here's where I heard about it:

They should be delivered in 3-5 days.
:)

I recently wrote an e-mail to BPM81, the radio station on XM radio that plays techno music. Here's their reply and my initial e-mail below it.
Clifford.
We’ll do our best to limit the talking. We are in the process of promoting the biggest dance event of the year and making people aware of what’s going on with the channel. Dance radio has never had this type of exposure and you’d be surprised how many hundreds of thousands of people want to hear what’s going on. They feel connected to the music and the channel. We only have 2 llive dj’s on for a few hours a day and we do our best to promote the music and the channel. Again, thank you for being an XM subscriber and hopefully we can continue to play the dance music you love.
Thank you.

Subject: I signed up for commercial free music!
Dear BPM,
I'm sure you get a lot of e-mail regarding your music and I am definitely a fan. But - I have one problem. When I listen to BPM and compare it to my other favorite XM stations like xm 20, 21, and 22 - I hear A LOT more talk than I get on other stations. Why is that? Why is it that when I pay money for music radio, I hear the bpm dj talk and talk about the song, promoting bpm between songs, talking about what's coming up on bpm... it's bpm everything.
I KNOW what station I'm listening to when I turn the radio to channel 81 and I know what songs are playing since it shows up on my lcd screen on my stereo.
Why do the DJs on BPM talk so much more than on the other XM stations I listen to? Can you speak less and play more music?
Thanks.
Clifford
Sometimes you just have to speak up when you get crap service. I honestly don't think BPM will talk less but hopefully my e-mail will let them know what their listeners are thinking.
Places where you can get some crap service:
-The Ann Taylor store at Fashion Square (according to Michlle)
-Elliott Homes (David at the Tramonto Villages is very rude and gives out false info)
-Malee's at Desert Ridge
-CTI (the interior decorating company that I have to deal with for the new house)
Places where you can get some good service:
-Solstice (the sunglass shop at Fashion Square)
-PV Golf Course
-Go Daddy
-Autobahn Collision
-Bernings Fine Jewelry
-Gomo's Korean Restuarant

She looks innocent enough - but watch out. Once she knows you live in Seattle - it's all over.

If I were to be remembered with one quote - let this one be it:
"I'm not here to make mountains out of mole hills... I'm here to make mole hills out of mountains."

links to this postAs with karma- what goes around, comes around. In college, I received more and more forwards from friends or acquaintances and they flooded my asu.edu e-mail address with blatant disregard for my time used in reading or deleting them. Mainly the latter.
Well - come 2006 and thousands of -mail messages later, I have a new policy for e-mails that are forwarded from people who:
1) Are new to e-mail
2) Don't exercise common courtesy to not forward e-mails.
3) Simply don't realize that people delete e-mails when the subject starts with "Fwd:".
I send them this reply.
Quick request:
I enjoy getting e-mails from you but only if you write them yourself. If you have a forward, please do not include me on your list.
Thanks!
:)
Clifford
It's short and to the point. It may ruffle someone's feathers the wrong way but hey- if that's what it takes for people to realize that they are sending some really annoying crap then so be it.
After thinking about it for a while, I occasionally read a forwarded e-mail but only from my friends who forward things with discretion.

It's been a busy week at work and I was able to cap it all off with a great drive to Payson today.
We cranked out some cool stuff at work and got rave reviews from customers using it within 24 hours. That was a pleasant payoff for the hard work and long hours the team dedicated.
Today I woke up early and met some fellow fancy toyota owners for an afternoon drive up to Payson. It went by surprisingly quick and I had the opportunity to ride in some cool cars which included a single turbo toyota supra with 600hp.
Excellent ride.
Here are some photos...
